What we choose to carry, and what we choose to let go of, defines us.

Brooklyn based producer Kardnl, aka Cameron Rankin, uses those themes of weight and what we choose to bare, into the dance music landscape.

From inspirations as a teenager in the pop-punk and alt spaces, to falling in love with EDM during the “golden years” in America, there’s been a through line in his expression of “What do we choose to carry?” and how does that show up in how we present to the world.

From middle school band, teaching himself piano in high school, to being a self-taught music producer/DJ with multiple record labels suporting him, Kardnl is a creative force that wants to start a conversation; how we dance and how we live are the same things.

With inspiration from melodic house producers (OCULA, Le Youth, Lane 8, Sultan + Shepard) he has released across multiple record labels (Daxsen Underground, Wirlix Records, and others) and has played out across New York City. Kardnl is just getting started and we can’t wait to see what happens next.
